A remake of the 80's hit Back to the Future is in perfect hands as it was announced that it will be directed by one of the original trilogy's producers, Steven Spielberg. And who better to fill the shoes of the young time traveler Marty McFly then his golden boy Shia LaBeouf.
Spielberg took the time to make this announcement himself to quell any fear some of us loyal Back to the Future fans may have, and he said he will be very true to the original, besides the stuff that he decides to change. It will be updated for modern day, and so the time machine will "most likely take the form of a Hybrid of some sort. If you're going to time travel today, you're going to have to be green about it," Spielberg said in his announcement.
But the big question is who will step into the eccentric, 1.21 jiggawatt fueled shows of Dr. Emmett L. Brown? Spielberg saves that for last as he says, none other than Johnny Depp will step into the shoes once filled by Christopher Lloyd. It took some real convicing according to Spielberg, but it was the money that got him. Real pirates gold from what I'm told. And finally, one more thing, who's taking on the role of big buff meathead Biff Tannen? None other than the muscle man himself Vin Diesel. I simply cannot wait to see this come together.

this got to be the biggest APRIL FOOL joke in history. if steven spielberg want to ruin his credibility as a director this is the best way to do it. I rather have mr. spielberg use micheal j. foxx son if he have one than shia and christopher Lloyd instead of johnny depp and the guy who did play biff instead of VIN diesel.

IF this was true, it would be horrible. There should never be a remake of the original BTF.

I would believe it if they had the original cast back in it. and used dr.brown kids to go back to 1985 to pick up marty jr. to go back to 1885 to save dr. brown from 1885 biff son with a time travel watch

Knowing Hollywood, I wouldn't doubt that they'd feel the need to make a ridiculous move like that believing that they could make a bunch of gullible people go see this thing. I want to believe that Back to the Future would be remade, but not with a different car and not with poor choices mentioned. (Your weakest link here is that you don't provide ANY sources to back up your claim. But I suppose you don't really care, since it really is a hoax.)

This is a joke... not exists plans for BTF remake.. only michael j. fox could participate and it's impossible.. maybe a new saga but with the same prequel, like star wars, maybe back to the future episode IV.. marty mcfly is dead and his son found the delorean and its the year 201.. ah? a new saga!! no remake!!

If beiber were to be McFly, the name of the series would be ruined. Labeouf would make a better Marty McFly than beiber. And Harrison could be Doc Brown and "The Rock" could be the 1985 Biff Tannon and Zac Efron or Emile Hirsch could be the 1955 Biff Tannon.
